Formula 1 Appoints Damson Idris as Official Global Brand Ambassador

Fresh off the success of F1 The Movie, Damson Idris is moving from the movie set to the heart of the sport. Formula 1 has officially named the actor a Global Brand Ambassador, turning his onscreen role into a real-world position within the sport’s most exclusive inner circle.

The announcement follows the debut of the “All To Drive For” campaign, where Idris stars alongside the current grid to promote the high-stakes energy of the 2026 season.

Damson Idris’s new role is a natural evolution of his immersion into the sport. In F1 The Movie, he starred alongside Brad Pitt as Joshua Pearce, a talented rookie driver. The film was uniquely integrated into the sport, filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends with the full cooperation of teams and race officials.
